We're currently looking for a Sr Staff Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will have end-to-end responsibilities from spearheading to launching the next generation of customer experiences for Intuit's flagship products through cutting edge FinTech technologies. It's a unique opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplined team of designers, engineers, data scientists, researchers and analysts incubating new trajectory changing experiences for Intuit.

What you'll bring

  • Strong educational background with BS / MS in Computer Science or a related area or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in hands-on software development positions across a variety of technology areas including (but not limited to) front-end development, back-end development, AI/ML development, 3D game development
  • Strong experience developing customer-facing applications in a fast-moving technical environment
  • In depth AWS expertise
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring engineers and playing a strong role in transforming front-line engineering by showing what is possible with technology
  • Excited about the future of FinTech and the transformation technology can enable in this domain
  • Able to quickly learn new technologies and quickly contribute to existing codebase.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all organizational levels and influence strategic decision making
  • Proven track record of innovating and influencing to provide novel and effective solutions to difficult software engineering problems
  • Demonstrated expert level hands on software development

How you will lead

In your role, you'll help define and drive the technical direction for our team while ensuring high scalability and availability of our products. The ideal candidate will be a flexible, multidisciplinary coder who can lead across back-end, front-end, and Mobile domains to enable our teams to move fast and understand the potential benefits of new technologies for our customers.

  • Stay up-to-date with and share the latest developments in specific technology areas, developing a point of view on the business implications and opportunities for Intuit and our customers
  • Deliver target state architecture for how Intuit can incorporate new technologies to benefit our customers at scale. This typically involves collaborating actively with product, architecture, and design leaders across Intuit
  • Implement key aspects of product experiences based on new technologies (Be a role model to engineers and inspire a high technical bar for the team
