In this role, you'll lead end-to-end design for a core set of customer experiences in the payroll space. This role requires a dynamic individual who is comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment, with a solid ability to go deep into end-user problems and then apply design thinking and design craft to solve them.

What you'll bring
- 7+years of experience in interaction design, product design, service design, or related field
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction Design, or other relevant field; Graduate degree a plus
- 2+ years of experience leading junior design team members
- Deep knowledge of user experience methods, innovation, ideation, storytelling, prototyping, design frameworks, concept visualization, problem-framing skills, and design principles
- Expert knowledge and experience driving and applying human-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers, along with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, data analytics, and user research
- Understand business and user experience performance metrics, and how they impact design direction
- Exemplary ability to build positive, collaborative relationships across teams/groups/functions through facilitative leadership to deliver great results and "raise the bar" continually as an effective leader of positive change
- Proven track record in leading with a clear vision for complex end-to-end user experiences, inspiring others to get behind the vision, and ultimately delivering products that are known for their delightful experience and ease of use
- Organized, self-directed, efficient, and able to manage multiple complex projects in a timely manner
- Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator
- Mastery of design tools such as Figma, and skilled in creating "lo-fi" prototypes to share with users in a fast, iterative manner
- A well-presented online portfolio demonstrating strong interaction design craft and collaborate process
How you will lead
- Strategy: Apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences that optimize among customer needs, business goals, and technological realities across web & mobile platforms
- Be bold: Create compelling visions and translate concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity, despite complexity of system
- Learn fast: Participate in user research with clear goals, a testable hypothesis, and learning plan; rapidly explore ideas and complex interactions through prototypes and test your hypotheses with users using a variety of methodologies
- Data acumen: Balance quantitative and qualitative learnings to inform design direction and influence product roadmap
- Facilitation: Lead cross-functional workshops that help to align the team on design vision and roadmap
- Storytelling: Effectively communicate design approach and demonstrate strong storytelling techniques to inspire the team
- Manage and mentor: Coach and mentor junior designs on the team in craft and development of key hard and soft skills; contribute constructively to design reviews
