We are looking for a Director of Sales Enablement and Customer Education to lead an organization focused on empowering both our customers and customer facing organizations. In this role you will scale digital education and self-help support for our global customers and partners. You and your team will provide online resources, training and certification to enable success and growth on the Mailchimp platform, including the Academy platform for certification. You will lead enablement for Mailchimp's customer facing teams to equip them with the skills and capabilities needed as advisors to acquire and grow our customer base.

What you'll bring

  • 12+ years of experience in global customer education and sales enablement.
  • Experience as a strategic leader managing a world-class multi-functional and multilayered team with demonstrated experience driving transformation.
  • Experience scaling customer education programs at scale serving audiences of 1M+.
  • Demonstrated success influencing matrixed organizations.
  • Strong executive presence and communication.
  • Customer and data obsessed with a focus on continuous improvement and feedback cycles.
  • Ability to maintain and expand an innovative mindset.
  • Experience with fostering collaborative relationships with product and marketing teams to deliver sales-ready training content.
  • Mentorship and modeling the skills and behaviors to lead with a clear vision, build a high-performance culture and drive winning results

How you will lead

  • Team Leadership: Serve as a strategic leader of a 40+ person organization. Attract and develop best in class talent while leading a high performing, inclusive team culture.
  • Business transformation: Transform the team to lead with the most innovative, scaled approaches of empowering customers to be successful on the platform.
    • Foster an innovative culture that utilizes new technologies such as GenAI to elevate impact of existing resources.
    • Bring best in class approaches to enabling our customers at scale through digital learning experiences.
  • Strategic planning: Develops and executes on global one-and three-year strategic plans.
    • Set the strategic vision for shaping and aligning customer education and development efforts with business needs.
    • Oversee the execution of initiatives to best enable the sales and customers success organizations to enhance overall competitiveness.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: This leader will partner with other critical functions like Product, PD, Design, Data and Marketing to ensure we are collectively designing segment specific digital and assisted services experiences to ensure customers quickly onboard and see value from Mailchimp.
    • Ensure team's efforts are aligned to the company's most strategic priorities and champion shared metrics and velocity in execution.
  • Lead Data-driven Customer Insight and Continuous Improvement - Obsess over customer impact and feedback, using data to provide insights and drive continuous improvement in processes, product and service.
    • Leverage data and analytics to continue improving team's performance and identify opportunities to better support customers when and how they need assistance.
