How you will lead

Primary Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Director with expertise in change management and an appetite to lead transformational change to join our team. This leader will play a critical role working across Intuit to drive employee engagement and amplify our culture. The Director will take the lead on defining our strategic employee engagement playbook and aligning leadership around it, being the business owner of our Pulse survey and employee listening more broadly, driving and supporting initiatives across the company to address employee VOE, and cultivating a community of engagement leaders at our sites, in business/functional communities, and at the grassroots level.

Ultimately this leader needs to be a visionary people champion who can motivate leaders and employees across the company to action in service to our unique people-first culture. This leader will also need to be highly data-driven and outcome oriented, ultimately driving and stewarding a range of efforts to address employee VOE and support engagement across the company globally.

It is essential that the leader in this role be able to establish rapport, credibility, trust, and respect with stakeholders across the company, and be able to work collaboratively with others in a results-oriented manner. As this team engages at senior levels of the company, the individual must have exceptional leadership capability, strong communication skills, and a hunger to learn and drive change at the global and local levels.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Define the framework for employee engagement and own execution against its playbook, delivering for the company globally across both hybrid and virtual worker communities; enable local relevance while driving scaled execution globally.
  • Take an end-to-end view of engagement across the company, ensuring consistent and rigorous execution of engagement-related action plans by key leaders in the business, functions, HR, Workplace and beyond. Drive transformational change of how we engage employees, galvanizing key partners, incorporating data, and embracing a bias for action to iterate and improve the approach over time.
  • Own the employee listening strategy in partnership with People Analytics, Research and Technology team (PART) and Communications partners to define how we measure employee engagement in our next chapter of work, including our biannual Pulse Survey and other listening methods. Close the loop with employees to create two-way dialogue.
  • Drive and orchestrate insightful discussions on Pulse results with CEO Staff and their teams together with PART and the HR Business Partners. In addition, work to define and implement metrics and diagnostics that further our culture, including employee connectedness and belonging.
  • Continuously steep in the data, external benchmarks and practices, and exhibit a Day 1 mindset about what we are learning and what opportunities we have. Drive and shepherd follow-up actions and initiatives that address opportunities surfaced in employee listening to improve employee engagement and experience.
  • Define our blueprint for engagement and culture driving roles at sites (including Site Leaders) and support the staffing of these roles, working with P&P Senior Leadership to surface candidates and/or marshal resources where appropriate.
  • Inspire and cultivate grassroots contribution that augments our site community including: skills-based, interest-based, and geography-based communities to drive a greater sense of employee connectedness and belonging.
  • Contribute to and partner with our event and experience team to drive delivery of marquee employee facing events that foster engagement and amplify our people-first culture (e.g. State of the Company, end of year celebration, We Care Give Back).
  • Be a thought-leader externally through publishing and speaking engagements in this space to fortify Intuit's employer brand as a leading employee-centric company.
