Come join the Intel Greater Americas Health & Wellness Team as our US Health Benefit Compliance Specialist. The GAM HW team is responsible for oversight of health benefits in Canada, Latin America, and the U.S. As a key contributor to the GAM HW team, the US Health Benefit Compliance specialist will partner with internal and external business partners to help ensure Intel's benefit administration practices comply with state, federal, and ERISA requirements, as well as internal quality programs.

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of benefit administration, with an understanding of health plan regulation and government reporting requirements in the U.S.
  • Advanced Analytical, strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with ability to turn data into actionable information
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, and holding stakeholders accountable to deliverables
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA and privacy
  • Proven ability to work in an organized manner with the ability to manage time effectively to meet strict deadlines, at times handling multiple tasks concurrently while maintaining proper prioritization
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required to effectively engage with HR, Legal, and Intel's suppliers
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguous and complex work situations and multiple stakeholders

This role's primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage various health and welfare employee benefit plan administration programs and/or projects required for compliance with health and welfare benefit laws, regulations, guidance and best practices.
  • Manage the sustaining model that result from such projects, including oversight of the Intel Pay, Stock & Benefits Handbook
  • Work with various stakeholders to review, develop, and update, benefit administration in compliance with applicable laws and rules, the plan design and internal administrative rules and constraints.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records to assist with compliance. Work with internal stakeholders and legal experts to prepare required reports for various required governmental reporting.
  • Support audit inquiries and oversee internal operational audits with stakeholders, suppliers and legal experts to identify any potential gaps in administration.
  • Manage various projects and established processes and procedures together with legal and technical experts to ensure compliance with data protection and privacy laws, rules and regulations such as HIPAA.
  • Act as the Business Process Management/Quality Champion for GAMHW

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years health/wellness benefit administration, legal, and/or compliance experience
  • 3+ years Project Management ownership experience
  • Demonstrated experience with US employee benefits laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years health/wellness benefit administration, legal and/or compliance experience
  • Master's degree Preferred
  • Project Management certification
  • Legal and Regulatory Research with experience working with employee benefit programs is preferred

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $99,487.00-$149,235.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
