Substrates Strategic Sourcing Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to be a member of the Substrates Supply Chain leadership team. This GSEM team collaborates with Technology Development and the Business Units to deliver supply chain sourcing solutions for Intel's and our Foundry customer's product portfolios. This role reports to the GM and VP of the Substrates Business Group in GSEM.Intel is in the midst of a major transformation from an Integrated Device Manufacturer to an IDM and a Foundry (Intel IDM 2.0.) In parallel with this transformation, the industry's advanced packaging roadmap includes the addition of many new substrate technologies. The combination of IDM 2.0 and the new substrate technologies on the advanced packaging roadmap are driving the need to change our substrate supply chain design. This new role on the Substrates leadership team will be accountable for driving the changes necessary in the substrate supply chain design to deliver long term, sustainable results on cost, quality, technology and availability. This is a highly visible role with the senior leadership and executives inside of Intel and at the suppliers. The complexity of the contracts required to support the new technology and business models will require this individual to actively engage in negotiations supported by the Supplier Managers.Drives development and implementation of commodity/category strategy and procurement initiatives to enable long term business growth. Creates robust negotiation strategies and cost targeting through understanding of market dynamics, industry benchmarking, and key trends. Drives business impact by influencing senior managers to adopt practices that enable execution with consistency. Anticipates business risks and drives mitigating strategies with accuracy, quality, and timeliness of delivery. Ensures adherence to policy, educates stakeholders and suppliers on policy compliance, and manages the remediation and resolution of sourcing issues. Identifies opportunities to adapt policy as required to better enable suppliers to meet business needs. Drives results by inspiring people, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

12+ years of experience in the Technology industry
5+ years of strategic sourcing experience with a strong focus on both commercial and engineering deliverables

Preferred Qualifications:
5 +years of strategic sourcing experience in the FCxGA substrate industry
Complex contract management experience
Experience in developing and executing strategic sourcing plans for categories with 1B+ of annual spending
3+ years of key supplier/account manager experience
Familiarity with the semiconductor industry's advanced packaging supply chain
Demonstrated results in leading cross-functional, global team

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
