Job Description

We seek an experienced Snowflake developer to join our Supply Chain IT team! As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data architecture on the Snowflake cloud data platform for Supply Chain planning data. Your expertise is essential in optimizing our data infrastructure, query performance, and analytics while ensuring efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Data Model Design:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design optimal data models within the Snowflake environment.
  • Develop and implement best data organization, storage, and retrieval practices.

Data Integration and Processing:

  • Work closely with ETL developers to ensure seamless and efficient data integration processes.
  • Integrate BY, ECC, Azure, S4 systems for planning data processing
  • Setting up data load and unloads onto Microsoft blob storage and/or Amazon S3 buckets
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Develop stored procedures and UDFs using Snowflake scripting/Python/Java

Administration:

  • Configure and manage Snowflake accounts, including user access, security, and permissions.

Performance Tuning:

  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks in queries and data processing.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and data storage and processing regulations.

Analytics:

  • Build dashboards using native apps for predictive analytics and reporting.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering related field and 4+ years of experience -OR- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering related field and 3+ years of experience in:

  • Data Engineering or in a similar role, with a deep understanding of Snowflake architecture and features.
  • SQL skills and experience in optimizing complex queries.
  • Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Integrate BY, ECC, Azure, S4 systems for planning data processing
  • data modeling and database design principles.
  • Snowflake API and ML modeling.
  • Data warehousing best practices.
  • Azure managed cloud services (ADF/ DevOps)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Connecting Snowflake's native applications for predictive analytics using machine learning tools.
  • IT data planning experience in Supply Chain is considered an advantageous skill.
  • Creating Power BI reports for data analysis.
  • SnowPro Core/advanced certified.
  • ERP SAP O2C/P2P/MM/WM experience.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $162,082.00-$243,222.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
