We are seeking someone who will seize the opportunity to lead definition, design, verification, and documentation for SoC (System on a Chip) development for a test chip and execute the design toward tape-in, determines architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.

The building blocks for SOC test chip will include digital, analog, mixed signal, IO, memory sub blocks and DFT. This will include working with external customers and internal teams for developing requirements for Test Chip design and developing strategies for testing including post silicon.

As a SOC Design Lead your responsibilities include:

  • Defining module interfaces/formats for simulation. Performs Logic design for integration of cell libraries, functional units, and subsystems into SoC full chip designs,
  • Registering Transfer Level coding, and simulation for SoCs. Contributes to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits.
  • Performing all aspects of the SoC design flow from high level design to synthesis, place and route, timing. and power to create a design database that is ready for manufacturing.
  • Driving technology related closures, collaborate with partner teams on adhering the right tools/flows/methodologies, own customer related opens and close them through working them with a cross functional teams representing process, technology, physical design, verification and packaging.
  • Analyzing equipment to establish operation infrastructure, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results.
  • Reviewing vendor capability to support development. The building blocks for SOC test chip will include digital, analog, mixed signal, IO, memory sub blocks and DFT. This will include working with external customers and internal teams for developing requirements for Test Chip design and developing strategies for testing including post silicon.
  • Leading teams through setting goals, schedule and staging plans along with tracking and enabling execution for team.

The SOC Design Lead will exhibit behavioral traits that demonstrate:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including a willingness to work with others, and the ability to tolerate ambiguity and highly complex decision environments.
  • Willingness to lead teams and influence cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

What we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and 6+ years of experience -OR- a Master's Degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and 4+ years of experience -OR- a PhD in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and 2+ year of experience with the following:

  • 3+ years' experience with validation and verification.
  • 2+ years' experience with design and integration.
  • 2+ years' experience in Process, technology, flows, tools, methodology.
  • 1+ years' experience influencing and collaborating with multiple teams.

How to Stand out (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience leading teams through setting goals, schedule and staging plans, along with tracking and enabling execution for team.
  • 6+ years' experience with validation and verification.
  • 6+ years' experience with design and integration.
  • Experience with library, standard cell, and extraction methodology.
  • Experience with assessment and response for foundry customers.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $162,041.00-$259,425.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
