Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Intel Ethernet Products Division (IEPD) as a Purchasing Specialist.

In this position you will gain invaluable experience which will allow growth and expanded opportunities within the organization, in addition to business groups across Intel.

This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Applies specialized knowledge of the purchasing function to build purchasing excellence in supply chain; works with leaders and teams to define, develop, and implement leading practices.
  • Supports adoption of new/updated procurement systems and processes including a focus on internal customer support and guidance.
  • Recommends improvements in purchasing methodologies and procurement process flows and may actively participate in implementation and ongoing administration.
  • Manages key performance indicators to measure, control and benchmark procurement processes to drive improvements for the operations network.
  • Collaborates with and advises strategic sourcing and supply chain management teams with key information that contributes to purchasing power and risk mitigation.
  • Evaluates vendors and suppliers based on quality, price, ROW best practices and speed of delivery.
  • Ensures that suppliers follow site purchasing and control risk policies/guidelines.
  • Applies thorough understanding of various market segments, technological trends, and imminent market regulations.
  • May participate in trade shows, conferences, and meetings to network with new suppliers as and when required.
  • Works with internal customers to understand business requirements, define scopes of work (SOW), and drive cost efficiencies.
  • Builds effective stakeholder relationships with suppliers and other service providers, ensuring a high service level in terms of quotations and lead-times.
  • Negotiates vendor contracts as per business needs, to purchase raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, services, and supplies.
  • Tracks and monitors spend management metrics on behalf of business unit(s). Defines inventory targets and models to ensure that business maintains optimum level of inventories.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following skills in addition to the qualifications listed below.

  • Must be a team player, with demonstrated experience technically influencing others.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate results and recommendations to customers.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions is necessary.
  • Provide procurement support to IEPD worldwide.
  • Tracking all purchases from purchase request to delivery/invoicing.
  • Working with various Intel suppliers to request quotes and verify payment and/or shipping terms.
  • Thorough understanding of Intel's procurement tools and financial implications for expense and capital purchasing.
  • Understanding of financial processes and treatment of capital and expense assets.
  • Needs to be self-motivated, driven, and willing to learn new skills on an ongoing basis.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced fluid environment.
  • Experience with SharePoint or a WordPress website a plus
  • Experience working with databases querying structures and data analysis a plus.

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Additionally, Preferred qualifications are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working knowledge of Intel's purchasing tools and lifecycle.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Intel's shipping and receiving processes
  • Knowledge of Intel's capital asset management process and SOR (System of Record), ISMP

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
