Job Description
- You will be part of Xeon Platform Validation Group and specifically responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of the accelerator and virtualization sub domains.
- To understand the specification of the platform and different HW accelerators present in it and develop test strategy and test cases for validation of the same.
- To develop good system level understanding of the Intel Xeon, Sever Platforms and analyze various issues reported on it specifically associated with Virtualization and Accelerator modules.
- To understand the design and architecture of the Xeon Platform , different interfaces involved and guide the team of 2-3 members in deciding the test strategy and developing the test cases based on the Platform Modifications
- To debug , analyze , and root cause complex issues involving HW , Linux Device Driver, Kernel Ingredients ,Windows , ESXI or other Components on the Platform
- To help the team in analyses and debugging of complex issues and root causing on the component responsible for it
- To drive the automation efforts for test execution simultaneously across multiple Intel Xeon Platforms.
- Understanding the problem thoroughly and to describe it to multiple teams involved , debug and drive it for resolution.
- To interact with multiple teams involved in creation of the products like SoC Validation , SW Development and Customer Enabling and resolve issues of Customer Concern.

Qualifications
- BE or MTech in Electronics and Communication , Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with around 10+ years of experience in Embedded Debugging ,Software Development or System Validation.
- Solid understanding of software testing, process and methodologies.
- Good understanding of Python , C and C++ Programming languages
- Demonstrated experience and skill in platform validation and test case development.
- Sound Understanding of Intel Processor Architecture
- FW/SW development or validation experience; understanding of software stack from BIOS/FW through OS driver
- Strong at analytical problem solving, code debugging and module-based problem solving skills.
- Must have good knowledge of Chipset/processor interfaces (PCI Express, UPI, Memory, etc.) and One or more of the Server technologies (Security, Manageability, Virtualization, Accelerators, IOMMU, Power Management, Reset/Boot, Storage, Networking, RAS, etc.) and be able to interpret specifications to assist with debug and test development.
- Should have a good understanding of system power/reset/boot flows, and firmware (BIOS, BMC and CPLD, etc.) interactions during the process
- Hands on experience with software verification and validation using test frameworks / automation tools / scripting languages such as Python or Perl, Bash , PowerShell etc.
- Having worked on debugging issues in virtualized environments using one of the hypervisors ESXI , KVM and Hyper-V is a bonus
- Having a hands-on experience of developing SW or validating the functionality of Accelerators in virtualized environment is an added advantage.
