TD Engineering Managers are responsible for leading complex organizations delivering on tactical operational goals and strategic development plans. They provide leadership and support to enable LTD process technology development by delivering space and capacity and integrating planning to execution strategies with development Modules, Integration, Manufacturing, Finance, and Construction organizations.

The LTD Technology Operations organization includes the Industrial Engineering, Facilities, Construction, Model of Record (MOR), and Environmental teams that enable LTD fabs as well as the Virtual Factory (VF) worldwide network to construct and ramp new sites for future capacity strategy. This position will sit on LTD Technology Operations (LTO) Staff as Engineering Manager and Senior Director of Factory Infrastructure.

The successful candidate will manage the Factory Infrastructure organization. This includes strategic planning and tactical execution for the technology MORs, capacity, space, capital and systems, tool install design and construction, and facilities design and planning. Also responsible for reporting accurate tool, capacity, and CapEx data and trends and defining strategies to meet and exceed world-class metrics. Partnering with key stakeholders within Finance, Fab/Sort Manufacturing (FSM), Disaggregation Manufacturing Organization (DMO), Global Sourcing for Equipment and Materials (GSEM), Fab Construction Enterprise (FCE) and others to plan and execute the Long Range Planning (LRP) equipped capacity roadmap to forecast, procure, deliver, and install tools to meet TD ramps while driving innovation to redefine industry standards and continually reevaluate and improve the methodologies, systems, and business processes. Demonstrated ability to influence GM level customers and report progress to ELT (Executive Leadership Team) level management critical to this role.

Leading a vibrant and inclusive culture, as a manager of managers, requiring daily tactical consistency as well as long term strategy definition and roadmap execution. Manage Group Leaders and senior engineers to analyze and plan the space, tool capacity and program/financial implications, including tool model development, capacity what-if analyses, capacity improvement projects, facilities/construction assessments, LTD tool plan definition and systems loads, and design, construction and install execution. Owns decisions to optimize the Site Master Plan for Gordon Moore Park at Ronler Acres and site planning across the Virtual Factory network.

Required experience:

  • Experience with fab financial management activities such as Plan, Plan of Record (POR), LRP planning cycles, and Capital Procurement Authorization (CPA) development/presentation.
  • Experience in collaborating with or working in major semiconductor and/or construction suppliers and design firms.
  • Ability to work with senior managers to influence decisions based on solid analytical and insightful business analysis.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication. Demonstrated ability to present complex technical and financial topics to senior managers and leaders, as well as government/industry stakeholders.
  • Effective leadership, communication skills, and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence, educate, and coach others.

Candidate needs to demonstrate organizational and emotional intelligence to understand how work is completed, how to remove roadblocks where bandwidth is challenged, and quickly react before problems arise. Demonstrated results and accountability for broad leadership, building of followership and role modeling of Intel's cultural attributes of Customer First, One Intel, Fearless Innovation, Results Driven, Inclusion, Integrity, and Quality. Connecting with LTO employees to improve employee experience by identifying and working opportunities for improvement in organizational culture and team health.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Engineering or similar field
  • 15+ years of experience in fab/planning/supply chain, Industrial engineering, or Finance.
  • 10+ years of experience leading and setting priorities for multiple engineering teams, including second-line management in a large organization. Int'l/worldwide team experience a plus.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $195,317.00-$341,559.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
