Intel is seeking an exceptional Firmware Developer to join our client products division and play a pivotal role in developing advanced power management solutions for laptops and desktops. As an Expert Firmware Developer, you will work at the cutting edge of technology, using C++ to create efficient and innovative power management solutions for Intel's client products. Your work will significantly impact the performance, efficiency, and user experience of Intel's devices.

Responsibilities for this Firmware Developer will include but are not limited to:
- Advanced Power Management: Design, develop, and optimize advanced power management firmware solutions for Intel's client products, ensuring high energy efficiency and extended battery life.
- C++ Development: Leverage your expertise in C++ to create robust and efficient code for power management functions, utilizing modern C++ standards and best practices.
- Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and system architects to ensure seamless integration of power management firmware into Intel's client products.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve bottlenecks, optimize algorithms, and fine-tune power management strategies to meet performance and efficiency targets.
- Testing and Validation: Work closely with validation engineers on test plans and perform rigorous testing to ensure the reliability and robustness of power management firmware, both in lab environments and real-world usage scenarios.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for your code, ensuring clear and understandable explanations for colleagues and stakeholders.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in firmware development to continuously enhance Intel's power management solutions.
- Continuous Learning: Demonstrate a commitment to learning and personal growth by proactively seeking opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in firmware development and power management.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
What we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field and 5+ years of experience OR a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field and 4+ years of experience.
- Proven experience in firmware development, with a focus on C++.
- Knowledge of hardware-software interactions and system architecture.
- Experience working with embedded systems and low-level programming.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and optimize code for performance.
How to Stand out (Preferred Qualifications):
- C++ concepts, constexpr programming, and meta-programming a plus.
- Knowledge of Intel architecture and client products.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in power management.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced power management and energy-efficient solutions.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $144,501.00-$217,311.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
