About the Programmable Solutions Group (PSG):

Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) empowers customers to unlock the full potential of data through cutting-edge programmable platforms. Intel Corporation announced its intent to separate its Programmable Solutions Group operations into a standalone business. This will give PSG the autonomy and flexibility it needs to fully accelerate its growth and more effectively compete in the FPGA industry, which serves a broad array of markets, including the data center, communications, industrial, automotive, aerospace and defense sectors.

In Q4 2023, Intel announced PSG will be reported as "Altera, an Intel company" a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024 with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.

About the Role:

We are seeking a director level leader with significant indirect materials experience to build and lead a high performing corporate procurement team. As the corporate procurement leader, you will play a pivotal in transforming PSG to operate as a standalone global technology design company. Your procurement expertise, rapport with industry suppliers, and exceptional interpersonal skills are essential to thrive in this critical role within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As a forward-thinking and business-focused leader, you will lead PSG's corporate procurement organization to support short and long-term PSG strategy. Director level to be determined based on level of experience and qualifications.

Scope and Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a team of supply chain professionals for effective and efficient procurement operations.
- Manages supplier relations, to drive value through sourcing decisions.-

- Manages all corporate procurement, setting priorities and ensuring all cost, quality, availability, technology, and sustainability goals are achieved consistently.
- Drives development and implementation of procurement initiatives to enable long term business growth.
- Manages contracts, specifications, and service levels to meet business unit requirements.
- Creates robust negotiation strategies and cost targeting through understanding of market dynamics, industry benchmarking, and key trends.
- Drives business impact by influencing senior managers to adopt practices that enable efficient and effective delivery of goods and services.
- Partners with key stakeholders to understand all business requirements and derive the procurement operations strategy.
- Plans and implements activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, and is accountable to meet stakeholder requirements.
- Drives the development of new standards, procedures, and best practices for the procurement function.
- Partners with stakeholders to introduce breakthrough/innovative solutions, automate procurement processes, and transform procurement operations.
- Ensures attainment of department goals, supports senior management to establish goals, key performance indicators and development initiatives for the department.
- Responsible for enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results.
- Drives results by inspiring people, role modeling PSG values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience Required:
You should possess at least 15 years of indirect procurement experience, with at least 5 years in senior level positions. Must have proven record of solving strategic as well as tactical sourcing and procurement challenges. Must have experience managing all aspects of indirect procurement on a global scale.

Additional Qualifications include:

- Reputation as a leader that can set a clear vision for the indirect procurement team to achieve organizational goals based on understanding of company's mission and objectives.
- Experience working with business leaders, suppliers, and partners in navigating business and environmental changes by recommending realistic solutions which enable the organization to maintain progress towards strategic growth objectives.
- A global mindset and demonstrated experience advising on international strategies related to suppliers.
- Experience building and leading high-performing global procurement teams. This includes recruiting, mentoring, and developing sourcing and procurement professionals to ensure the department's success.
- Promotes an inclusive and diverse team that reflects the organization's commitment to equity and fairness.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $156,239.00-$249,769.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
