Job Description

This position is an Israel based position within the Architecture team of the Network Cloud Computing organization at Intel.

Lead and guides end to end SoC implementation within a project lifecycle and across product generations, including firmware, hardware, and platform integration for highly optimized, modular, and scalable network SoCs. Refines SoC functionality, connectivity, configuration, performance, timing, power, and area goals. Drives evaluation and integration of existing IP blocks into new SoCs as well as the specification of adaptation logic. Evaluates feasibility trade-offs and late binding micro architecture iterations. Invents, conceptualizes, and specifies microarchitecture and architectural features for next generation products for performance and power optimizations. Participates in the crafting of test plans, and testing infrastructure for block and full-chips environments., Analyses test results using advanced statistics and data predictions for benchmarking performance and determining areas for improvement. Provides experimental/proof of concept changes for proposing design alternatives meeting performance, power, area, and timing constraints. Reviews, challenges, and influences cross functional roadmaps and defines technology targets for future SoCs. Collaborates with architects, design engineers, system engineers, and verification engineers to improve the overall design of SoC and overcome constraints.

As an SOC Architect Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the product roadmap of our organization and getting projects to production on first silicon. You will be a technical lead for talented engineers within the Architecture organization, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, with the VP of Silicon, and with key customers to execute the silicon architecture strategy for our cutting-edge Cloud networking products. This role requires a deep understanding of semiconductor design, advanced process technology, and a track record of successful silicon development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 9+ years of experience in semiconductor design, including micro architecture definition, implementation and validation.
  • Strong networking experience covering L1/2/3/4 and the intersection of networking with semiconductors as a practitioner, specifically queueing and traffic management
  • Strong understanding of server I/O subsystems and interfaces
  • Proven track record of successfully leading silicon architecture efforts from concept to production, ideally in high end networking and communication.
  • Experience in architecture performance and power optimization.
  • Strong leadership, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse group of engineers.
  • Good command of written English for documentation, and English oral communications for internal meetings, multi-lingual teams, and customer facing effectiveness
