Competitive and Market Intelligence Director

Job Description:

Integral Ad Science (IAS) is a global leader in digital media quality. We're looking for a Competitive Intelligence expert to join our Product Marketing team. If you are excited by technology that has the power to handle hundreds of thousands of transactions per second; collect tens of billions of events each day; and evaluate thousands of data-points in real-time all while responding in just a few milliseconds, then IAS is the place for you!

As Competitive & Market Intelligence Director, you will report into the VP Product Marketing. You will work closely with product, sales, and insights teams, as well as other cross-functional groups to help fuel IAS' insights and intelligence towards our competitors. This role will require strong analytical skills and independent thinking and judgment abilities.

What you'll get to do:

  • Lead primary and secondary research of competition in strategic areas of interest/investment for IAS
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert of the competitive landscape by knowing key information about IAS competitors' products, pricing, customers, org design, leadership, market positioning, marketing strategies.
  • Create in-depth competitor dossiers, including current strategies, expansion plans, market position, promotions, product assessments
  • Develop and manage intelligence tools to support collection and dissemination of competitive information
  • Lead competitive product monitoring and provide regular updates to product and revenue orgs
  • Inform product prioritization and definition efforts through competitive insights
  • Assist product marketing and sales enablement teams to ensure accurate competitive positioning
  • Identify new market opportunities for IAS through analysis of advertiser spending patterns, as well as ad tech market trends
  • Identify potential risks to IAS's business by reviewing industry trends, privacy/regulatory changes, and business challenges for IAS' strategic ad tech platform partners

You should apply if you have most of this:

  • 10+ years experience in a consumer / market insights, competitive insights, product marketing or related role
  • Solid researcher-ability to locate information that is relevant, complete and consequential
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong cross-functional relationship skills, to gather, organize and apply competitive intelligence
  • Ability to reconcile large, disparate and conflicting datasets to draw out insights
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ad tech industry knowledge
  • Strong verbal and presentation building skills

New York Applicants: The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $240,000, actual pay may vary based on experience or geographic location.
