Overview
Job Summary
The Director of Sales, Business Unit is responsible for national sales, budgeting, and expenses management within Werfen's North American Commercial Operations for their assigned Business Unit. In this high-level leadership position, the Business Unit Director will influence, develop, and implement long-term strategies and key performance indicators. This role requires high levels of collaboration with internal customers as well as field-based peer departments.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement national sales strategy in alignment with corporate objectives
- Motivate and lead the sales organization to grow Werfen's customer base and market share
- Recruit, develop, and manage field-based Area Business Managers
- Ensure compliance with Werfen policies and procedures
- Develop, implement, and set accountability standards for process-oriented Key Performance Indicators.
- Collaborate with corporate accounts to execute short- and long-term Integrated Health Network strategy and growth.
- Collaborate with corporate accounts and the contract department to develop long term successful business relationships with Werfen customers.
- Provide field-level market intelligence and sales forecasts to the sales leadership
- Accountable for national sales budget and expenses.
Networking/Key Relationships
The Director of Sales, Business Unit will interface on a regular basis with key roles from all functional Werfen Organizations; all Technology Centers/Sites, and Global Werfen Affiliate Leaders with key relationships such as:
- Commercial Operations
- Client Services
- Finance
- Quality and Regulatory
- Operations
- R&D
- Strategic Business Unit: Marketing & WW Service
- Information Technology
Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Biomedical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience required. Master's Degree Preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years experience in a sales management capacity required.
Management has the discretion of substituting relevant work experience for a degree and/or making exceptions to the years of experience requirement.

Travel Requirements:
- Up to 50% travel.
