Responsibilities
In This Role, You Will
- Administer Oracle EPM tools (PBCS, EDM, Narrative Reporting) to facilitate robust budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes including: maintain/track hierarchy and system updates, regular database maintenance, validation and reconciliation, system security, backups and recovery, and troubleshooting system issues
- Act as a strategic partner in the advancement of the Oracle EPM suite in support of the FP&A team
- Design, develop, and maintain planning models within Oracle EPM incorporating sophisticated calculations as required
- Perform month-end closing data loads of statistical and financial information.
- Conduct quarterly change control and security audits
- Oversee data integration from source systems to EPM
- Collaborate with FP&A and cross-functional teams to define business requirements, implement best practices, and deliver effective solutions within the Oracle EPM environment
- Proactively evaluate and implement new Oracle EPM functionalities from monthly and quarterly releases, ensuring continuous alignment with evolving business objectives
- Serve as the technical expert for financial planning, advising on data flows, integrations, report testing, and providing related communication or training as needed
- Maintain documentation and training materials to ensure end-users are continuously educated
- Diagnose and resolve complex system issues to ensure system reliability and integrity during key activities such as forecasting and month-end close
- Work with Oracle Support to resolve application issues via service request
- Steward financially relevant data for the business to ensure accuracy and integrity
Qualifications
The Skills You'll Bring Include
- 5+ years of financial systems administration experience with a proven track record in Oracle EPM tools, including PBCS, EDM, and Narrative Reporting.
- Experience deploying Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDM) solutions
- Experience in developing technical and business requirements for planning solutions
- Advanced understanding of FP&A processes, including strategic planning, bottoms-up budgeting, scenario modeling, and financial reporting
- Deep experience in workforce planning, including building models for headcount, compensation, and detailed financial scenarios.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex system challenges
- Strong understanding of dimensionality, hierarchies, attributes, and properties.
- Experience with design and building inbound/outbound automated feeds with Oracle EDM
- Working knowledge of the functional aspects of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reporting
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office w/ Advanced Excel skills
- Proven track record of success in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
- Outstanding judgement and mature business skills with the ability to establish a strong rapport with teammates
- Understanding of GAAP, Statuary Reporting, economics, and operational management methodologies
- Strong history in change management focused on communication and user training
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, data or information systems
- Certifications in Oracle EPM such as Oracle Planning Cloud Implementation Specialist or Oracle Data Integration certifications preferred but not required
