Position Title: Risk and compliance Analyst I

Position Summary:

The Risk and Compliance Analyst will play a critical role within Monument Consulting by helping to define our Risk and Compliance Framework, create policies, and develop risk tolerance and compliance strategy. The Risk and Compliance Analyst will be responsible for defining policies, procedures, and compliance standards that our Sales, Solution Architect, Implementation, Contracts, and Delivery teams need to successfully deliver for our clients. A successful Risk and Compliance Framework enables, enhances, and supports our teams delivering value for our clients. The Risk and Compliance Analyst will be responsible for coordinating and managing internal and external audits, primarily our User Access Audit, SOC II, and SOX. This includes coordination with various departments to collect evidence, lead meetings with control owners, and work on remediation plans for exceptions. The Risk and Compliance will work closely with the Security and Compliance Manager to implement and manage the data privacy program.

The ideal candidate for Risk and Compliance Coordinator should be willing to take on a variety of different tasks and projects across multiple workstreams and teams and comfortable with a fast paced environment. The Risk and Compliance Analyst will have an opportunity to collaborate daily with a variety of departments and functional organizations. The Risk and Compliance Analyst should be able to independently and proactively structure and manage bodies of work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management and coordination of the SOC II audit
  • Planning and execution of quarterly internal audits of internal systems and processes
  • Ability to manage expectations, escalate issues, and drive action items to completion are critical for this role.
  • Implement industry-standard best practices for user-access control and collaborate with internal teams to manage onboarding and offboarding procedures and execution
  • Develop documentation for policies, procedures, and standards as it relates to all Monument operating activities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the data privacy program in support of new legislation
  • Recommend process improvements to existing workflows
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and oversee enforcement of internal security policies and procedures
  • Track security incidences or gaps recognized from audits along with remediation actions taken

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-2 years' experience in a corporate environment, preferably in a risk, data privacy, audit, or project coordination role
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and great problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal and external teams, including executive leadership
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Demonstrated detail-orientation with strong organizational skills, including the ability to self-manage time and tasks
  • Ability to learn complex concepts and subjects under a variety of conditions including formal and informal training as well as on the job coaching and through trial and error; participates in self-study and active learning with the goal of becoming a product subject matter expert
  • Ability to multi-task and handle shifting priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to develop productive working relationships
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLookups, and Index Match preferred, but not required
