Infosys Public Services is seeking a Windows Administrator to join our team.

Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative):

The successful candidate will be able to perform complex functional activities in support of servers running the Windows server operating system for the client. They will be expected to regularly exercise independent judgment, as well as a high level of analytic skill, in solving complex technical problems for the client in the Windows Server and Virtual ESX environment. This individual serves as the focal point for problem resolution by interacting with client employees and multiple equipment and application vendors to ensure proper application installation and operation, and problem resolution. The individual will also serve as the trainer and mentor to the other Windows Administrator position at various times. This individual will be expected to work independently with a minimum of guidance or direction.

  • Minimum 4 years of Experience in Server Management.
  • Experience in providing a quality-controlled software release management system to all servers and end-user workstations, including troubleshooting and problem resolution to ensure the successful delivery of software releases
  • Scheduling and deploying operating system or operating system components, patches or service pack releases, new or modified anti-virus software, custom-written internal and or Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software using MECM, Ansible, other automation tools, or manually as required
  • Build, upgrade, and configure servers with proper documented security settings and place them within the infrastructure.
  • Accept revised application software packages that have been certified for production release (including new versions of existing software components) and perform an initial assessment of the impact on server operations.
  • Recommends and takes action to improve processes
  • Perform any necessary testing of installing or updating software according to the requested action, following the client Program Team's approval.
  • Use system management tools to monitor, mitigate, and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Experience in providing project plans, reports, and presentations using the Microsoft suite of tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.)
  • Willingness to work off-shift and weekends as required for patching and production builds.

Educational Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Will consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education. Candidates who have completed a Master's degree program are strongly preferred.

The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
