Test Engineer

In the role of Test Engineer,
you will be responsible for leading and executing functional testing activities across complex software systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and user-friendly software products. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

  • Excellent coordination and communication skills
  • Design, develop, and execute functional test cases based on business and technical requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Domain experience in investment banking products and corporate action
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and test design techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Tosca) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership
  • Abilities in Test Strategizing, planning and co-ordination.
  • Translate user requirements and application features into testing requirements
  • Ability to work in team environment and client interfacing skills.
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Lead test planning, including scope definition, risk analysis, and test strategy.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure test coverage aligns with requirements.
  • Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA, or ALM.
  • Perform regression, integration, and system testing.
  • Mentor junior testers and contribute to test process improvements.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives).
  • Good knowledge on Automation Tool like Selenium and Java programming
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality benchmarks
  • Good knowledge of Financial Services domain and business functional processes
  • Experience in Test Deliveries in an onsite offshore model.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
