Infosys is seeking a Senior Java Microservices Developer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Mississauga, Ontario or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

  • Experience in Java Microservices, Spring boot
  • experience in Designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications, including coding, testing, debugging, and collaborating with teams.
  • Experience in creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Java code, conduct unit testing and debugging.
  • Collaborate with team members to gather requirements, analyze designs, and address technical issues.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues. Create technical documentation for applications and development processes.
  • Stay updated on Java technologies and industry trends; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implementing the UI/UX design to ensure the application is visually appealing and easy to use.
  • Ensuring the application loads quickly and runs smoothly.
  • Developing the logic that powers the application, often using Java and frameworks like Spring.
  • Building APIs for communication between the front-end and back-end.
  • Working with database systems like Cassandra, Oracle.
  • Following coding best practices to ensure the code is easy to understand, maintain, and debug.
  • Working with designers, product managers, and other developers to bring the product to life.
  • Ensuring the application is free of bugs and performs as expected.
  • Documenting the codebase and application architecture for future reference.
  • Providing feedback to other developers to improve code quality.
  • Identifying and resolving issues that arise during development and deployment.
  • Making sure the application works seamlessly across different platforms and devices.
  • Creating APIs for communication between different parts of the application.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Extensive travel may be required as per client and project needs.

Estimated annual compensation range for the candidate based in the below location will be:
Ontario: $ 89004 to $ 115491
