Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Reporting Architect to join our team onsite. This role requires strong technical expertise in Power BI, excellent customer management skills, Data Modelling experience and the ability to lead and guide an offshore team to deliver successful BI projects for one of the Insurance customers, of Europe based out of London, UK. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless daily operations, managing client expectations, and driving high-quality deliverables.
Your role
In the role of a Reporting Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade reporting and analytics solutions that drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will be responsible for architecting scalable reporting frameworks, integrating data from diverse sources, and ensuring high performance, usability, and governance of reporting platforms.
You will anchor engagements from requirement analysis and data modelling to dashboard design and deployment. Your expertise will guide teams in selecting appropriate BI tools, defining KPIs, and implementing best practices for data visualization, report automation, and metadata management.
As a senior architect, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and developers to translate business needs into technical solutions. You will also play a key role in performance tuning, security design, and ensuring compliance with data standards and policies.
You will contribute to architecture reviews, mentor junior team members, and lead capability-building initiatives in reporting technologies such as Power BI, SSRS, etc. You will also support client workshops, solution demos, and business development efforts.
You will have the opportunity to shape innovative reporting solutions that enhance operational efficiency, improve transparency, and enable strategic insights for clients navigating complex data landscapes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Implement advanced DAX calculations and optimize data sources for performance.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to BI solutions.
- Secondary Skill: Knowledge of MDX cubes for multidimensional data analysis.
- Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for client interactions.
- Gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
- Conduct regular status meetings, demos, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Manage expectations and ensure timely delivery of BI solutions.
- Guide and mentor the offshore development team to meet project goals.
- Assign tasks, review deliverables, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain clear communication between onsite and offshore teams.
- Monitor progress and resolve blockers for smooth project execution.
- Oversee daily operations related to BI reporting and analytics.
- Implement process improvements for efficiency and scalability.
- Ensure seamless integration of BI solutions with existing systems.
- 10+ years of experience in Power BI development and data visualization.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, DAX, and data modelling.
- Experience in customer-facing roles and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Proven ability to lead distributed teams and deliver projects on time.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.

- Certification in Power BI or Microsoft BI stack.
- Understanding of MDX cubes for OLAP and multidimensional analysis.
