Infosys is seeking a Quality Engineering Lead/Technical Test Lead - Mainframe, Python skillsets

As a QA Test Lead, you will act as a validation and quality assurance expert and review the functionality of existing systems. You will conduct requirement analysis, define test strategy & design and lead execution to guarantee superior outcomes. You will also be required to design an optimal test environment to simulate real-time scenarios. Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • Candidates must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or must be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel within the US.

  • 4+ years of experience in software QA, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
  • Mainframe & Python experience is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Exposure to cloud-native telecom solutions
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for test automation.
  • 4 years of experience in Automation and testing Skills in creating Test Strategy, Test scenarios and Test cases with hands on technical knowledge.
  • Strong domain knowledge in telecom systems.
  • Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium).
  • Experience in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Unix, Java, Python, Mainframe).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in working in offshore and onsite model.
  • Lead and mentor a team of QA analysts and engineers across telecom projects.
  • Define and implement QA strategies, test plans, and test cases tailored to telecom systems.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and operations to ensure quality objectives are met.
  • Oversee execution of functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
  • Manage defect tracking and resolution using tools like JIRA.
  • Drive automation initiatives and maintain test automation frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with telecom standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Define and execute test strategies for functional, UI/UX, compatibility, functional testing.
  • Provide regular QA status reports, metrics, and risk assessments to stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
