Infosys Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Principal candidate to join the leadership team of our North American Oil & Gas practice.
About the Role:
You will be part of the North American leadership team for Oil & Gas, collaborating with current consulting leadership and sales to execute growth and delivery strategies, and assist in recruiting and building high-performing teams. You will lead or participate with client teams responsible for problem definition, solution design, development, and deployment for major transformation initiatives.
As a thought leader in the Oil & Gas domain, focusing on Upstream, you will advise on solution design reviews and help clients define and realize expected value. You will have the opportunity to shape consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the rapidly transforming business model of the energy industry through digital transformation and innovative IT solutions.

This role requires expertise in the following areas:
  • Deep understanding of Oil & Gas value chain operations
  • Experience implementing digital technologies in Oil & Gas environments such as IoT solutions, AI/ML applications, data analytics, or cloud transformations
  • Leadership of complex business transformation programs with strong technology components
  • Project execution using a global delivery model
  • Strong business development capability and client relationship management skills
Key Capabilities:
Experience as a Consultant in one or more of these areas:
  • Upstream Capabilities: * In-depth knowledge across the Upstream value chain including exploration data management, drilling operations optimization, production systems integration, reservoir modeling, and field operations digitalization, along with experience implementing digital solutions that connect subsurface, well, and surface operations for improved decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Combined Oil & Gas Digital Capabilities: * Demonstrated success implementing enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives connecting operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) systems, leveraging advanced analytics, AI/ML, IoT sensors, and cloud platforms to drive operational excellence and business performance across the hydrocarbon value chain.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead digital transformation and IT programs in the Oil & Gas sector
  • Drive business development efforts, including developing strong relationship with top decision-makers at assigned clients
  • Identify potential digital transformation opportunities within clients
  • Ensure delivery in project management and execution from project managers
  • Serve as trusted advisor to client leadership on technology
  • Develop and mentor Oil & Gas consultants, particularly in areas of technology-enabled business transformation
  • Participate in proposal development, facilitate differentiators, and articulate value proposition
  • Lead engagement on a day-to-day basis including resource management, project management, and issue/risk mitigation
  • Provide thought leadership to enhance tools, templates, and IP that advance digital capabilities for Oil & Gas clients
  • Identify emerging technology trends and opportunities relevant to the Oil & Gas sector
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 8-10+ years of experience in business process consulting or direct Oil & Gas industry experience, with significant focus on technology implementation and digital transformation
  • Strong understanding of Oil & Gas value chain, particularly in Upstream or Refining operations
  • Experience with enterprise systems implementation in Oil & Gas environments
  • Strong executive presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for transforming our clients' businesses to unlock value for their shareholders, clients, and partners
  • Ability to travel up to 80% (4 days per week) to multiple local, state and/or national client locations
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team, including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with a top-tier consulting organization
  • Experience leading digital transformation initiatives in Oil & Gas organizations
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and their application in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Experience with data analytics, artificial intelligence, IoT, or cloud transformations in industrial settings
  • Industry certifications related to Oil & Gas operations or technology implementations
  • Understanding or working knowledge of key technology platforms used in Oil & Gas industry
