Senior SAP BW Consultant

Infosys is seeking a Senior SAP BW Consultant

As a Senior Consultant, you will be a key player in the consulting team that helps discover and define the problem statement, evaluates the solution options and makes recommendations. You will create detailed design, architecture and process artifacts and implement the deployment plan. You will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology.
• Location for this position is Wichita, Kansas.The Position may require travel and/or relocation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of experience in Detailed Architecture/Design of servers and landscape.
• At least 4 years of experience in doing Archiving and Cloud Migration and Authentication projects.
• Experience in Problem management, Root cause analysis and Trouble shooting skills.
• At least 4 years of experience in Process Chain Monitoring: BW Application.
• Ensure all critical process chains (data loads, transformations, etc.) are completed within defined SLAs.
• Monitor the execution of process chains for errors and failures.
• Incident Management and Troubleshooting:
• Resolve automated alerts and incidents related to data load failures, transformation errors, query performance issues, and connection problems.
• Data Reprocessing and Correction:
• Reprocess failed data loads or correct data inconsistencies as needed to address business requirements.
• Perform data repair.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Problem Management:
• Conduct RCA for recurring incidents and implement permanent solutions to prevent future occurrences.
• Collaborate with other teams (basis, development, functional) to resolve complex issues.
• Continuous Improvement and Automation:
• Identify opportunities to automate routine tasks, such as process chain monitoring, data validation, and incident response.
• Implement performance tuning and optimization measures.
• Application Administration and Maintenance:
• Manage user authorizations and security roles within SAP BW.
• Perform system monitoring and maintenance activities following patching or upgrades.
• Monitor and manage system queues.
• Manage transport requests.
• Data Source and Connection Management:
• Manage connections to source systems and ensure they are connected.
• Manage and trouble shoot data source issues with basis team
• Transport Management:
• Transport BW objects between lower and production environments.
• Track the number of successful transports.
• SAP Vendor coordination.
• Knowledge on Azure infrastructure Direct connect set up and Azure Security ( app proxy , Entra Id and App gateway, Azure functions)
• At least 4 years of experience in capturing requirements related to internal/external consulting, documenting, and mapping current business process
• Analytical and Communication skills
• Planning and Co-ordination skills
• Knowledge of Solution Manager Alert setup (Technical Monitoring and Azure alerts configurations) customization. Knowledge of other functionality within Solution Manager is beneficial but not required.
• Manage freeze periods, emergency changes, retrofit activities and decommissioning of systems during the upgrades and Migrations.
• Azure cloud certified Architect Preferred
• Knowledge of Release Management concepts and processes
• Knowledge of Transport Management concepts and processes.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.
