Job Description
In the role of Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for:
Program Delivery:
• Defining program plan, strategy and business benefits definition and refinement
• Managing the sponsors and stakeholders of the program/account
• Collaborating with all service lines and bringing them together in achieving the overall goal and timelines of the program
• Taking end-to-end bottom-line responsibility of program delivery
• Achieving the program delivery goals with respect to time, budget, functionality and quality according to the program plan
• Ensuring right staffing for the program and mitigate resourcing issues from different areas where the skills are to be procured
• Team management and team building
• Identification and mitigation of risks
• Dashboarding/ status reporting for leadership - both internal and for customer. Steerco governance and reporting
• Assist customer in defining business cases
• Financial (budget, vendors) management of the program
Required
• 25+ years of relevant IT experience across the globe
• Proven track record of delivering largescale transformation program and significant business change in the Telco sector (OSS, BSS and knowledge of enterprise telco offerings/ products AND experience in managing portfolio delivery of medium to large accounts ($50M+)
• Good understanding of Telecom industry domain and IT landscape
• Experience of managing senior stakeholders
• Excellent team management abilities
• Candidate must have program management experience, multiple project delivery, people management and leadership skills
• Excellent knowledge of the program lifecycle, techniques, methodologies and approaches and the understanding of how to best apply to various situations
• Ability to effectively deal with difficult stakeholders, navigate ambiguous, changeable, and complex environments and achieve desired outcomes
• Excellent coaching, mentoring and facilitation skills. An ability to manage, motivate and enthuse a team in which the landscape and priorities are often subject to change
• Extensive experience working with multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of Program Management Frameworks
• Drive various governance forums and steerco meetings
Preferred
• Good networking skills
• Knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of tools like Azure DevOps
• Ability to identify growth opportunities and support sales
• Strong analytical skills and expertise in at least one domain or technology area
• Capability to create, review and challenge estimates
