The Space Planning Specialist role focuses on optimising product placement and store layouts to enhance customer experience and maximise sales. This involves creating customer-centric planograms and floorplans that facilitate seamless store implementation and high levels of compliance. They would leverage data, analytics, and customer insights to ensure that product adjacencies boost basket size and product attachment, while also supporting both assisted and unassisted customer navigation. Additionally, they would work on building a premium, consistent, and cohesive Telstra branded experience, ensuring that store teams can efficiently manage inventory and spend more time with customers. Their role would also include fostering relationships with store teams, seeking feedback, and coaching store staff to enhance their capabilities.

As a Space Planning Specialist, you are pivotal in supporting an exciting and transformative project within Telstra retail.
You will be responsible for working cross functionally on this project across micro and macro space.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver customer-centric planograms and floorplans to ensure seamless store implementation and high levels of compliance.
  • Optimise product placement on fixtures to maximise sales opportunities and enhance the customer shopping experience.
  • Create effective category adjacencies to increase basket size and product attachment.
  • Support both assisted and unassisted customer navigation within the store through strategic layout planning.
  • Leverage data, analytics, and customer insights to create a return on space and investment for various categories.
  • Pilot project to retail store teams seeking feedback to make iterations.
  • Build and foster strong relationships with store teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Work cross functionally with project team and project planner to deliver on project expectations.
  • Lead trainings, documentations and master classes.
