Senior Java Developer

Infosys is seeking a Senior Java Developer. As a Senior Java Developer, you will be primarily responsible to work on important assigned tasks, critical follow ups, take care of EMIM, help team members on different issues, work as shift leads, Communicate with engineering team on each of these service changes, understand the change details, share them with IST POC and representing them in change call. Work on INCs, email, PRB issues, work on automation of EID Dashboard, client deployment tools. Work on Disaster Recovery tasks like performing DR exercises, DR and HADR Renewals and Submissions, and managing documentation, work on monthly score cards.Handle Infosys Project Execution and related project management tools. Manage team deliverables, leaves, backup plan etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of relevant Information Technology experience

  • Location for this position is Phoenix, AZ. This position may require travel to project/client location.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in creating requirement specifications based on Architecture/Design /Detailing of Processes

Big-Data Analytics Platform: Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Kibana Agile Methodology and SDLC for Project Development
  • Experience in creating detailed process flow diagrams and documentation to clearly outline the current state of business processes.
  • A holistic view of application functional knowledge to manage IT and Business.
  • Experience in reviewing UAT scripts and demo the User Story functionality to the Business Users and Product owners.
  • Experienced in reviewing the QA scripts to validate all the Functional scenarios are accounted in them.
  • Ensure operational continuity by serving as a backing up for automated reporting processes, utilizing Java SRE skillset, and absorbing workload surges during critical reporting periods, recognized as an SME
  • Perform regular production readiness reviews (PRRs) and capacity planning to prepare systems for scaling and reliability.
  • Lead incident response efforts, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and drove post-mortem action items to improve system resilience.
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to define and implement non-functional requirements (NFRs), including latency, error rate, and uptime SLAs.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to coordinate and drive the implementation of new features, which may involve proposing POA solutions for existing POD solutions or introducing enhancements within ongoing POD projects.
  • Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace to ensure proactive issue detection.
  • Evaluate current technologies to consider factors such as cost, portability, compatibility, or usability and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality of product platform. Act as the Splunk point of contact (POC) within the team, responsible for monitoring daily license usage and proactively reporting anomalies or spikes to Splunk administrators; collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and optimize usage.
  • Contribute to the migration of logging frameworks from Splunk to ELF (Enterprise Logging Framework), ensuring seamless integration, improved observability, and minimal downtime
  • Work with Litmus and DART tools to execute chaos experiments designed by Engineering teams; responsible for running experiments on application services and evaluating system behavior, performance, and resilience under failure scenarios to ensure reliability in production-like environments.
  • The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
