Senior Consultant -Data Engineering & Platform Modernization

Infosys is seeking a Senior Consultant with application development and maintenance experience. The position will primarily be responsible for development, maintenance and support activities for different customer applications. The selected candidate should be able to write clean, tested, and well-documented code, as well as provide peer code review and mentor other engineers on the team. Troubleshoot the issues on the systems. Interact with customer process consultants and business SME to understand and analyze various business processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Austin, TX or be willing to relocate to the area.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7 years of experience in Information Technology.
• At least 5 years of experience in software development life cycle.
• At least 5 years of Experience in Demand Planning Systems Leadership, Data Engineering, Platform Modernization, Business Collaboration, Analytics, Agile Collaboration & Delivery.
• Strong professional experience with Python and SQL for data engineering and analytics & Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Teradata, and Informatica.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in translating business use cases into technical solutions and database structures.
• Experience with demand planning workflows and planner-facing systems & performance tuning of large-scale data systems
• Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and traceability best practices & designing and tuning relational and non-relational databases
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies
• Experience in developing and maintaining scalable ETL pipelines across data sources & cloud-native data platforms and distributed data processing
• Experience with dashboarding and visualization tools such as Tableau & workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
• Experience in leading development and QA efforts for Demand Planning systems (SAP APO or similar)
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving production data issues and leading defect triage across global regions
• Excellent written and verbal communication & desire to work in a Global delivery environment
• Experience in leading platform migrations (e.g., Teradata to Databricks) with zero data loss
• Ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a globally distributed team

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
