Salary: AUD 192,845 - 209,939 Annual Gross

About the role
This Senior Solution Architect role focuses on leading SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations for education sector clients in Australia, requiring deep expertise in SAP architecture and cross-functional integration, particularly in Finance, HR, and Payroll modules, combined with public cloud deployment knowledge. The successful candidate will guide clients through the SAP Activate methodology and best practices to drive digital transformation and ensure successful adoption of the SAP solution within the education sector.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and define the overall solution architecture for SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations within the education sector.
• Conduct and lead fit-to-standard workshops, aligning client business processes with SAP best practices for the education sector.
• Design and blueprint scalable, secure, and compliant SAP solutions, particularly in Finance, HR, and Payroll areas, tailored to the specific needs of the education sector.
• Collaborate closely with functional and technical teams, including those focused on Finance, HR, and Payroll, to ensure seamless integration and end-to-end process flow across various SAP modules, including SuccessFactors, SAP Learning mentions SAP Fieldglass, and other education-specific systems.
• Provide strategic input on the SAP roadmap, including innovations, digital transformation initiatives, and the integration of emerging technologies like AI within the education context.
• Oversee and provide architectural guidance for data migration, testing, cutover, and go-live activities, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to educational institutions.
• Ensure strict adherence to the SAP Activate methodology and Public Cloud deployment standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to client stakeholders and project leadership, offering guidance and recommendations on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud best practices and their applicability to the education sector.
• Participate in and potentially lead pre-sales activities, including solutioning, RFP responses, proposal shaping, and effort estimations, for future education sector engagements.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior consultants and team members, fostering their development in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud expertise, especially in the context of the education sector.
• Stay updated on the latest SAP innovations, S/4HANA advancements, and digital transformation trends, particularly those relevant to the education industry, to ensure that the solutions provided remain current and effective.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
The role requires at least 15 years of SAP experience, including a minimum of two full SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations. Candidates should have proven Solution Architect experience on large SAP projects, preferably in the public or education sector. Essential skills include deep expertise in SAP Finance, HR, and Payroll, strong understanding of SAP Best Practices and the Activate methodology, and proficiency in "clean core" architecture, extensibility methods, and integration patterns using SAP BTP. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and independent work abilities are necessary. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field is required, along with the ability to work onsite in Australia.

Preferred qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include SAP certifications in S/4HANA or relevant modules, experience with SAP BTP for extensibility and integration, knowledge of Australian education sector compliance and reporting, experience with integrating third-party systems, and familiarity with agile or hybrid project delivery models.
