Your Role
SAP S/4HANA Brownfield Conversion Solution Architect is responsible for end-to-end technical and functional architecture of SAP ECC to S/4HANA conversion programs (brownfield). The role focuses on system assessment, readiness, simplification analysis, custom code remediation, data migration, integration, and guiding functional teams through conversion challenges. This architect collaborates closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and functional leads to ensure a smooth, compliant, scalable, and optimized S/4HANA transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Define overall SAP S/4HANA conversion strategy for brownfield transformation and develop the end to end target architecture for S/4 (on prem, private cloud, RISE) using SAP Activate methodology
- Conduct workshops with business & functional leadership teams.
- Translate business requirements into architecture decisions.
- Lead architecture assessments including:
- Develop blueprint, functional/technical design, cutover strategy, and migration approach.
- Conduct architecture reviews, solution validation, and risk management.
- Lead execution of the technical conversion using:
- Coordinate Basis, ABAP, functional, and integration teams during conversion cycles.
- Guide functional teams across FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, EWM, QM, PM on S/4 changes using simplification list mainly on

- Align legacy ECC processes with S/4 best practices.
- Lead custom code remediation and Integration strategy:
- Lead data migration strategy via:
- Define end-to-end testing strategy (SIT/UAT/Regression).
- Lead cutover planning: downtime minimization, transport, dual maintenance.
- Provide hyper care leadership, performance tuning, issue triage, and stabilization.
- Must have SAP experience with at least 3-5 SAP S/4 Hana Conversion Projects
- Experience with RISE with SAP & hyperscale cloud landscapes (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Experience with RISE with SAP Private/Public Cloud migration.
- Strong leadership and communication.
- Ability to simplify complex conversion topics for stakeholders.
- Excellent documentation and workshop driving skills.
- Ability to manage large cross-functional teams.
- SAP Certified Technology or Functional Architect (S/4HANA).
- Experience in industries such as Automotive, Manufacturing, Retail, Pharma, CPG.
- Experience with Selective Data Transition (SDT) tools (nice-to-have).
