Retail Data Engineer

Title: Lider técnico | Ratail DataEngineer
Location: Hybrid Mode (CDMX, GDL and MTY)

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and integration solutions using Azure technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Data Hub Azure, Azure Data Factory, SQL, Databricks, and Python, and will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Hub, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks for centralized data management.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and cloud-native architecture.

  • Familiarity with Azure cloud data platforms and services.
  • Understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and integration patterns.
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in Azure.
  • Knowledge of Python to build reusable components, data manipulation and automation scripts
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Nice to Have:
    • Experience with Delta Lake, Spark, or other big data technologies.
    • Experience with REST APIs and enterprise data migration tools.
    • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate).
    • Domain knowledge of North America Retail Power & Gas Market
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
    • Integrate diverse data sources into Azure Data Hub , manage data flows, Ensure data governance, lineage, and metadata management within Azure Data Hub along with consistency, quality, security, high availability and performance.
    • Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
    • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and formulate data strategies
    • Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across all data assets.
    • Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and reliability.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines for performance and reliability.
    • Document data architecture, processes, and best practices.
