Product Owner - Data Governance & ESG

Infosys is seeking a passionate and experienced Product Owner - ESG (Sustainability) and Data Strategy to lead the development and execution of our ESG data programs. In this pivotal role, you will champion the quality, integrity, security and usability of ESG related data assets enabling data-driven decision making and transparent sustainability reporting.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including data analysts, data engineers, sustainability experts and business stakeholders to define and deliver data driven solutions that support ESG goals.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Atlanta, GA or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

• Demonstrated understanding of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles and reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD, ISSB).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear product requirements.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across different teams.
• Familiarity with data management tools and technologies particularly for ESG-related data.
• Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for ESG data solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to gather ESG data requirements and translate them into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Understand evolving ESG regulations, reporting standards and best practices
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between data teams, business users and sustainability experts.
• Contribute to the creation of training materials and documentation to support ESG data processes, tools and user adoption.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related ESG data initiatives, providing guidance and oversight across projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Specific experience in implementing data solutions for ESG data including data management and reporting.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for communicating ESG insights.
• Experience with data modeling and database concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Certifications in sustainability, ESG reporting or data-related disciplines.
• Experience working in a regulated industry (eg: retail, financial services, healthcare )

The job may entail extensive travel. The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
