Title : Especialista en proceso de compras (Comprador Sr) | Procurement Process Specialist (Sr Buyer)
Location: Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. This position requires hybrid work mode and needs your presence in the office for at least 60% of the workdays every week.
As a Procurement Process Specialist/ Sr Buyer, you will be responsible of performing MRO and some critical products and services purchases from local and international suppliers, savings generation and following up with the different stakeholders involved in the supply chain process until product / service reception.
Mandatory:
- Higher education degree - foreign equivalent, Business, Admin or related
- Experience in SAP purchasing module or similar
- >2 years previous transactional procurement experience
- >2 years previous experience in MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul)
- Good understanding of the supply chain processes
- Able to verify all policies and procedures are applied during the purchasing process.
- Sound Negotiation skills
- English at advanced level.
- Excel (mid-advanced level)
- Good reporting skills
- Capable to work under pressure in a high speed ambience.
- Sound analytical & interpersonal skills
- Eye for detail.
- Able to work as a team player.
- Able to communicate effectively with vendors and internal users.

- Perform MRO and critical products and services purchases from local and international suppliers.
- Find and negotiate prices and conditions with vendors, prepare comparative evaluation matrix.
- Effective attention to urgent requests.
- Interact with end users for information gathering and problem solving.
- Processing data in SAP (PR to PO, Spot buy, PO modifications).
- Follow up with the different stakeholders involved in the supply chain process until product / service reception.
- Client/Vendor calls handling.
- Technical tests coordination with end users, vendors and other supply chain process stakeholders.
- Audit POs processed by others in the procurement team.
- Manage exceptions, follow up exceptions to resolution including ensuring non-recurrence
- Manage the knowledge repository for the process (SOPs and guidelines) and update it on a timely basis
- Ensure self-compliance to guidelines and policies
- Ensure that the service levels meet the requirements of SLA
- Ensuring proper timeliness and quality KPIs in line with target
- Following the work instructions related to specified processes
- Highlight issues impacting process or team to the TL Identification of process improvement opportunities. Refer un-resolvable and complex cases to Team Leads for guidance and resolution
- Drive process optimization initiatives.
- Providing effective communication and professional relation with customers, suppliers and co-workers.
- Train new joinees and support other team members
- Cooperate with other team members to resolve issues
- Additional tasks assigned by Supervisor completed on time
- Support on leadership activities
