Principal SAP Basis Consultant

Infosys is seeking a Principal SAP Basis Consultant

This position requires an expert contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in business process consulting; you will define the problem, propose, and create the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration, and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 11 years of experience with Information Technology.
  • The location for this position is Fort Worth, TX. This position may require travel to Project / client locations.

Preferred Qualifications

SAP Basis & Technical Architecture
  • Lead end-to-end SAP ECC to S/4HANA brownfield migration using SUM DMO tools.
  • Manage SAP landscape architecture, including HANA installations, upgrades, migrations, and performance optimizations.
  • Configure, monitor, and administer SAP systems including:
    • ECC, S/4HANA
    • SAP HANA Database
    • Solution Manager
    • Fiori, Gateway
    • SAP Enterprise Portal, Web Dispatcher
    • SAP BTP integrations
  • Perform system sizing, resource planning, and capacity management.
  • Ensure high system availability, resilience, and reliability across all SAP landscapes.
System Administration & Operations
  • Oversee SAP system copies, refreshes, kernel upgrades, and patch management.
  • Conduct performance tuning for ABAP, HANA DB, and application servers.
  • Manage transport management system (TMS), CTS+, and deployment workflows.
  • Monitor logs, dumps, traces, and resolve complex system issues.
  • Manage HANA Cockpit, DB configurations, backup/restore, and security setup.
Compliance, Security & Documentation
  • Ensure alignment with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements (GxP, FDA, CSV/CSA compliance).
  • Implement SAP security standards, user administration, and role-based access control.
  • Maintain SOPs, validation documentation, technical runbooks, and migration artifacts.
Project Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Act as the primary SAP Basis lead for the migration program.
  • Work closely with infrastructure/cloud teams for system provisioning and scaling.
  • Coordinate with functional, ABAP, QA, and business teams for cutover and go-live planning.
  • Provide technical risk assessments, mitigation plans, and architecture recommendations.
  • Lead troubleshooting sessions during integration testing, regression testing, and go-live support.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • SAP NetWeaver
  • SAP Fiori, Gateway
  • SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM, Monitoring)
  • SAPRouter, SSL, SSO, certificates
  • Unix/Linux system conceptsExperience with cloud-hosted SAP landscapes (Azure/AWS/GCP) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and client-facing skills.
  • Proven expertise with SAP ECC to S/4HANA brownfield migrations, including SUM DMO.
  • Strong experience with SAP HANA database administration & performance tuning.
  • Experience working in FDA-regulated pharmaceutical or life sciences environments (highly preferred).
  • SAP Basis / HANA certifications preferred.
  • ITIL certification is a plus.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
