Principal Consultant-Windchill SME

Infosys is seeking a skilled and motivated Windchill Principal Consultant to join our PLM team. In this role, you will lead the ongoing support and maintenance of Windchill PLM systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and user satisfaction. You will manage escalations, drive root cause analysis, and implement continuous improvements while tracking key support metrics to measure service quality and efficiency. You will also work closely with clients to understand their business processes and translate them into effective technical solutions. This role demands deep expertise in Windchill architecture, configuration, and customization, along with strong consulting and leadership skills

Required Qualifications:
Candidate can be located anywhere in the US. This position will require travel to project locations.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
Min 11yrs of overall IT experience
Strong knowledge of Windchill modules and architecture (Ex. (PDMLink, MPMLink, ProjectLink, Partslink).
Experience with Windchill Business Administration, System Configuration and Change Management
Ability to configure Windchill Objects and develop customizations using Java, JSP, XML, and Windchill APIs
Experience with Windchill Business Rules Framework (BRF) and Info*Engine
Familiarity with CAD data management (Creo preferred)
Lead and manage Windchill support operations including incident resolution, service requests, and system health monitoring.
Provide expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for Windchill modules
Coordinate with client IT and business teams to implement fixes, enhancements, and upgrades
Maintain documentation, knowledge base articles, and training materials.
Mentor junior support engineers and enforce best practices in support delivery.
Track and report support metrics to stakeholders regularly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and IT to ensure successful integration of Windchill.
Support pre-sales activities including solution demos, effort estimation, and proposal development.
Support Windchill upgrades, patches, and performance tuning
Candidates must be willing to work in rotational shifts, as the role may involve combination of regular shifts and off shift support needs as they arise

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Windchill 12.x
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.

Estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:
In CA/ WA/NY/CO/MD/IL/MN/NJ: $114,000 to $167,000
In Washington, DC: $106,000 to $147,500
