As a Principal Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in leading and shaping data engineering and consulting engagements from inception to delivery, driving client success, and fostering team growth. You will be responsible for end-to-end engagement management, encompassing deep problem analysis, strategic solution design, robust implementation oversight, and effective change management. This senior role demands strong leadership in guiding teams, ensuring quality delivery, actively contributing to business development, thought leadership, and talent development within the organization.

Responsibilities .
  • Lead problem definition, analyse customer challenges, and document requirements and lead diagnostic and 'as-is' assessments, including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and benchmarking
  • Evaluate and recommend solution alternatives, presenting comprehensive proposals to customers
  • Lead solution architecture and design, defining 'To-be' process maps and securing design approvals
  • Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for clients, building strong relationships and managing expectations
  • Oversee application configuration and development, ensuring alignment with design documents and resolving integration issues
  • Lead all aspects of project scoping, including facilitating requirements gathering, conducting workshops, and clarifying issues
  • Define both functional and non-functional project requirements, ensuring traceability, and securing signoffs from the required stakeholders
  • Prepare detailed project schedules, manage any changes, and create comprehensive project and risk management plans to minimize adverse impacts
  • Responsible for overseeing all project phases including tracking and controlling project progress, taking corrective measures, and communicating with all stakeholders
  • Manage system deployment, including data migration, contingency planning, and cutover
  • Drive change management and facilitate training for new systems/processes
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and develop transition plans for systems. Build and maintain process and knowledge management repositories
  • Schedule, monitor, and control production support projects to ensure SLAs are met
  • Regular engagement, providing reports, articulating value, and participating in client workshops
  • Manage and develop talent through coaching, training, and performance feedback
  • Prepare a quality plan and training for the team to ensure high-quality delivery
  • Responsible for documenting and sharing team learnings to drive efficiency and preserve knowledge
  • Resolve escalated customer issues with efficiency and accuracy
  • Lead and manage projects/programs, overseeing planning, execution, and delivery
Required
  • Should have a minimum of 12 years of experience in data engineering, CPG domain expertise, project/ program management
Preferred
  • Should have excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
  • Should be an excellent planner when it comes to perform release planning and other delivery planning.
  • Should have excellent problem-solving skills
  • Responsible for Coaching and mentoring team members
  • Good to have experience in leading data engineering (IICS, Snowflake, ADF, Databricks) and visualization teams (PBI)
  • Good to have experience in IICS, Snowflake, ADF, Databricks etc.
