Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

This role supports the Manager Data & Analytics in implementing specific reporting and automation solutions specifically for the adidas South Africa business. This is especially tailored to the needs arising post the critical business and tech transformation called "Trans4rm" that South Africa business underwent in the past 1.5 years. The person, under the guidance of the Data & Analytics team on-site, will execute and implement solutions for reporting and visibility of key essential and strategic data and systems across DTC, B2B, Finance, Supply-Chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Data & Analytics

  • Contribute to continuous development of analytical and data solutions which are aligned to global frameworks and with a dedicated focus on South Africa Trans4rm related business requirement
  • Ideate, prototype and identify the right solutions to solve key limitations of current reporting setup and develop automation and dashboards solutions.
  • Implementation and development of dashboards and reporting solutions, harmonized for South Africa business and across the EM organization
  • Ensure verification of correctness and completeness of data models, data relationships, mappings and definitions

  • Takes responsibility for understanding stakeholders' requirements, data collection, delivering analysis and problem resolution
  • Identifies, evaluates, and recommends options, implementing if required
  • Seeks to fully address stakeholders needs, enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of stakeholder's personnel, by ensuring that proposed solutions are properly understood and appropriately exploited
Reporting
  • Define new processes and data solutions that will enable stakeholders to have one stop shop when it comes to reporting
  • Take ownership of business intelligence by providing self-service reporting solutions to other teams as well as creating awareness of the state of the business by highlighting key focus areas to senior management.
  • Investigates operational needs and problems, and opportunities, contributing to the recommendation of improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes and organization.
  • Assists in defining acceptance tests for these recommendations.
  • Maintain or upgrade the solutions built and ensure the right and smooth KSR.

  • South Africa Business functions (Retail, e-com, Franchise/Wholesale, Finance, Brand and Demand Planning)
  • Data & Analytics | EM team
  • Global Data & Analytics
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • MS Office (Excel; Outlook; Word; PowerPoint)
  • Deep Experience with BI tools (Power BI both modelling and frontend)
  • SQL knowledge is required
  • Strong analytical, logical and process thinking
  • Communication & influencing skills will be a plus
  • Strong business sense and ability to identify the business needs and opportunities will be a plus
  • Ability to excel in a team-oriented work environment
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience (internship experience will be considered)
  • Proficiency in dashboard reporting, standard reporting, report optimization
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MSS, Alteryx, R or Python is an advantage.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of the business domain and the interaction of business processes with data entities/elements .
