Payroll and Time Specialist
Location: Santiago, Chile

Job Summary:

The Payroll and Time Specialist will play a key role in supporting the migration from SAP to SuccessFactors, ensuring accurate payroll and timekeeping processes. The role requires strong functional knowledge of payroll schemas in SuccessFactors-specifically schema 99 (International) and schema 39 (Chile)-as well as experience with SAP infotypes, payroll rules, and time functions. While English proficiency is important for communication with global teams, it is not the primary requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the transition from SAP to SuccessFactors by validating payroll and time schemas, functions, and rules.
  • Assist client personnel in verifying data accuracy, including infotypes, payroll schemas, and time schemas.
  • Review and analyze implemented time functions (e.g., Z functions), payroll functions, and standard payroll rules within the process.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll data, including hours worked, leaves, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Maintain and audit timekeeping systems to ensure compliance with company policies and local labor regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to ensure smooth payroll execution.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and timekeeping issues.
  • Support internal and external audits with documentation and process insights.
  • Monitor changes in labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in payroll and timekeeping operations, preferably in multinational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Chilean labor laws and payroll regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Payroll and SuccessFactors, especially schemas 99 and 39.
  • Familiarity with SAP infotypes, payroll/time functions, and rule configurations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with global teams; English proficiency sufficient for fluid communication.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in payroll system migrations or implementations.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities.
