Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our organization's network infrastructure. This role focuses exclusively on networking technologies and excludes hosting or server management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, and network monitoring tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues across wired and wireless networks.
- Implement and manage network security protocols, including VPNs, ACLs, and firewall rules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network requirements for applications and services.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
- Perform regular network assessments and capacity planning.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal security policies.
- Provide technical support and guidance to IT support teams.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in network engineering or a related role.
- Proficiency with networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+.
- Experience with SD-WAN, network automation, or cloud networking (without hosting responsibilities).
- Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance standards.
