Network Admin

Infosys is seeking a Network Administrator. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and security of an organization's computer networks. This includes managing LANs, WANs, VPNs, firewalls, and network hardware to ensure reliable and secure connectivity across the enterprise. Is also responsible for the prompt issue resolutions and superior customer experience.

Required skills:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Wichita KS or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• At least 2 years of desktop support or similar experience.
• This role may involve elevated access to Impact Level 4 (IL4) data and/or security requirements for handling controlled unclassified information (CUI) and sensitive data as defined by US Department of Defense (DoD). The eligible candidates must be US Citizens only.
• Experienced network professional to manage, support, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure, including Cisco core routers/switches, distribution and access layer switches, wireless controllers, and wireless access points (APs).
• Administer and maintain Cisco core routers, distribution and access switches, and wireless controllers to ensure high availability and performance.
• Ensure optimal configuration, performance, and uptime of all networking devices, including routers, switches, and wireless infrastructure.
• Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot network hardware and associated components to maintain a stable and secure network environment.
• Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting.
• Proactively monitor network performance, availability, and traffic patterns to ensure seamless connectivity and efficient operations.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues such as connectivity failures, degraded performance, and hardware malfunctions.
• Configure, deploy, and manage Cisco core routers, distribution switches, and access switches across a multi-site environment.
• Support, configure, and troubleshoot wireless controllers and access points to ensure consistent and reliable wireless connectivity.
• Optimize wireless network performance through effective AP placement, channel planning, and security configuration.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of wireless networks, ensuring secure and efficient access for all users.
• Compliance: Comply with the ITIL process and meet the SLA requirements.

• Possess ITIL Foundation certification or an equivalent IT service management credential.
• Demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in diverse, multi-stakeholder team environments.
• Experience and enthusiasm for working in a global delivery model.
• Solid knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and the ability to deliver prompt and effective solutions.
• Plan and execute network upgrades, including patches and firmware updates for Cisco switches, routers, and wireless controllers.
• Coordinate with cross-functional IT teams to minimize downtime during maintenance by scheduling appropriate maintenance windows.
• Stay up to date with Cisco's latest software and firmware releases and apply security patches in a timely and compliant manner.
• Implement network redundancy, failover mechanisms, and recovery procedures to maintain high availability.
• Assist in the development and testing of disaster recovery plans and network restoration strategies.
• Participate in business continuity exercises to ensure the network infrastructure supports organizational recovery objectives.
  
  The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
