MS SQL Database Developer

Infosys is seeking a MS SQL Database Developer -You will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artefacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Houston, TX or Richardson, TX or Baltimore, MD or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in Provisioning, configuring, and managing Azure SQL databases, T-SQL scripting and query optimization and Backup, restore, and high availability strategies
• Experience in Database design & Modeling like Normalization, indexing, and schema design, Entity-relationship modeling and Data integrity and constraints
• Strong knowledge in Performance Tuning-Query performance analysis, Execution plans and indexing strategies and Resource utilization monitoring
• Knowledge on Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Query Store, Alerts and diagnostics for database health
• Experience in Power shell, Azure CLI scripting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise with Utility - Commercial will be an added advantage
• Experience with additional cloud-native Azure technologies i.e. Event Grid, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Data Factory, App Service, Key Vault, Logic Apps, ARM Templates
• Kubernetes and/or Azure Kubernetes Service experience is preferred

Estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:
In Baltimore MD: $ 69,675 to $117,368
