Infosys Public Services is seeking a Middle Tier Specialist to join our team.

Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative):

The successful candidate will be able to support client-implemented middle-tier technologies, including web and application servers, containers and container management technologies, messaging technologies, cloud platform and services, automation tools, scripting languages, and monitoring tools.

Required years of experience, training, technical skills, and other requirements for job performance:

  • Minimum 4 years of Experience in middle-tier Administration or server management.
  • Experience in implementing middle-tier technologies on Windows and Linux servers, including web and application servers, containers and container management technologies, messaging technologies, cloud platform and services, automation tools, scripting languages, and monitoring tools.
  • Experience in technologies including Apache Tomcat, Wild Fly, Oracle Fusion Middle Tier (OFM), IBM WebSphere, Apache HTTP, Kubernetes, Docker and other types of containers, IBM MQ, Kafka, Zookeeper, RedHat OpenShift, Rancher, Ansible, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Linux shell scripting, Microsoft PowerShell, JYTHON, AppDynamics, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Neustar and Splunk.
  • Schedule and deploy middle-tier services or middle-tier components, patches, or service pack releases, using Ansible, other automation tools, or manually as required.
  • Build, upgrade, and configure the middle-tier service with proper documented security settings.
  • Recommends and takes action to improve processes.
  • Perform any necessary testing of installing or updating software/configuration files according to the requested action, following the client Program Team's approval.
  • Use system management tools to monitor, mitigate, and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Provide project plans, reports, and presentations using the Microsoft suite of tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.).
  • Willingness to work off-shift and weekends as required for patching and production builds.

Educational Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Will consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education. Candidates who have completed a Master's degree program are strongly preferred.

The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
