Mainframe Architect
Infosys is seeking a Mainframe Architect
This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Plano, TX or Addison, TX or Charlotte, NC or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
- At least 7 years of Information Technology experience
- Experience in COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, REXX, Z/OS connect.
- Experience in leading mainframe modernization and migration projects, including cloud integration and hybrid environment.
- At least 10 years of experience in software design and development using CICS, COBOL, DB2, JCL, IMS, EASYTRIEVE, SORT and other Mainframe technologies.
- At least of 10 years of experience in DB2 and VSAM.
- At least 10 years of experience in software development life cycle.
- Experience in leading Database migration and implementation strategies.
- Detailed understanding of mainframe architecture, design, and development strategies.
- Detailed understanding of Mainframe MQ.
- Understanding of modern ETL process.
- Strong understanding of mainframe integration with distributed systems and web services.
- Thorough understanding of RDBMS concepts and data access strategies using partitioning, indexing, etc.
- Strong communication and Analytical skills.
- Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.
- Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
