Linux/AIX Admin

Infosys is seeking to hire a AIX Administrator. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Server admins and Subject Matter Experts. The consultant needs to maintain best practices and collaborates with the architecture and application teams to set the technical vision and target architecture. As a Consultant, you will be a key player in the consulting team that helps discover and define the problem statement, evaluates the solution options and makes recommendations. You will create detailed design, architecture and process artifacts and implement the deployment plan. You will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Oakland, CA or Richardson, TX or Raleigh, NC, Hartford, CT or Indianapolis, IN or Phoenix, AZ or Tempe, AZ or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology.
• Experience in installation and Configuration of IBM AIX
• Experience in Administration of IBM VIOs, PowerHA, HMC , LPAR, NIM,LVM, NIM, NPIV
• At least 4 years of experience in managing system compliance by patching and system upgrades.
• IBM's power 5, 6 and 7 host technology experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Perform support functions for AIX Operating Systems
• Networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP
• Extensive experience in UNIX/AIX operating system installation, configuration and upgrades
• Performance Tunning of AIX
• NIS/NFS experience
• Hardware health checkup/Logs Collection
• System Monitoring/Performance Monitoring/data collection.
• Start/Stop, reboot OS as and when required.
• LVM, Filesystem and NFS Management.
• Storage Attachment and multi-pathing Configuration.
• User Administration.
• OS Hardening as per Client/Audit Security policy

Estimated annual compensation range for candidate based in the below locations will be:

Oakland, CA: min $85449 to max $116132
