Your role
As a Senior Consultant, you are an expert at contributing to manage, monitor and support Microsoft Windows servers. You will need to:
- Proven experience as a Windows Server Administrator
- Configuration of servers, operating systems administration, hardening, load balancers, firewall including but not limited to management of users, processes, resource contention, preventive maintenance and management of updates & patches to ensure that the system is properly updated.
- Re-installation in the event of system crash/failures
- Periodic health check of the systems, troubleshooting problems, analyzing and implementing recertification measures.
- Implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures for maintenance of the infrastructure
- Management of the usernames, roles and passwords of all the relevant subsystems, including, but not limited to servers, applications, devices, etc.
- Implementing security on the Internet and Intranet
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
- Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
- Install and configure software and hardware.
- Manage network servers and technology tools, Set up accounts and workstations.
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues and outages, Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.
- Upgrade/ patching of systems with new releases and models time to time.
- Maintain cloud infrastructure, application and database backup.
- Configure and Maintain Server scaling and High Availability & Disaster Recovery
- Web / Mobile Application release management activities on staging and production server.
- Application Deployment on .Net / Java/ PHP based applications on Windows / Linux Servers
- Experience in windows server administration background
- Hands-on experience with Windows server administration
- Good knowledge of various Windows operating system and platform
- Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language
- Familiarity with security tools, data backup/recovery and best practices
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot system issues.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
