Infosys Public Services is seeking a Java Angular Architect to join our team.

Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative):
The Architect is responsible for the architectural design of user-facing web-based applications. Supporting architecture across multiple platforms and domains.
The Architect is a strategic thinker who can effectively collaborate and build partnerships not only with the product team but also with teams across the enterprise, including other Domain teams, Frontline Business Partners, Marketing, Legal, Fraud, Credit, etc.
The Architect will also have a thorough understanding of the end-to-end Agile delivery process and the ability to communicate effectively with team members to align with the architecture design.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Manages complex concepts and visions and is held accountable for results.
  • Identifies and recommends concepts and develops strategies accordingly.
  • Works closely with cross-domain architects to develop architectural roadmaps and projects based on resources and ROI impact.
  • Acts as the architectural evangelist to build awareness, understanding, and support of the product and its features cross-organizationally.
  • Use a variety of methods to develop ideas and concepts, including HLSD, Heat Maps, concept briefs, and partner with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate design outputs into the business and strategic context.
  • Oversees the architecture of the business plan, roadmap, and timeline to drive from concept to adoption.
  • Represents enterprise projects that impact the user Experience Team
  • Assess organizational readiness to support new products and technologies
  • Conducts competitive and industry best-practice analysis, monitors web and relevant industry trends, and makes recommendations
  • Provides direction to development team members in all aspects of architecture, infrastructure, and development methodologies and deliverables.
  • Provides support to improve team efficiency: assessments, code reviews, coaching other engineers, detailing and evolving coding standards and best practices, performing data modeling, participating in advanced troubleshooting of production and pre-production systems, authoring frameworks and utilities.
  • Proactively build relationships to influence their business and functional priorities, and align domain technical solutions and roadmaps.
  • Ability to perform some hands-on development work as needed
  • Defines and ensures alignment and execution of domain strategy; ensures implementation is handed to other DevOps team members to implement and follow patterns
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years progressive experience in software engineering/enterprise architecture/technology leadership across multiple products, systems, and/or platforms, coupled with a strong eye for business and executive presentation
  • 4+ years working in solutions design and enterprise architecture, delivering IT solutions
  • 4+ years of experience in Enterprise applications, PLM, middle-tier services, database, storage, distributed computing, virtualization, and/or application technology.
  • 3+ years of experience designing high-volume frontline experiences
  • 3+ years of experience in API design, including security, scalability, reliability, and usability
  • 3+ years of experience determining requirements, creating estimates, and initial designs
  • 3+ years of experience using Agile development practices, including JIRA and JIRA Align to manage workflow, working in Scrum Teams, and Sprint Planning
  • 2+ years of Cloud experience, especially AWS
  • 3+ years of experience in REST API development
  • Versed in Angular 7+, JavaScript, and web-based technologies
  • Analytic/financial skills to drive business case modeling and decision making
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated public speaking and presentation comfort/skill, and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams and ability to drive results through positive influence
  • Experience managing and developing resilient, highly available systems.
  • Experience in identifying performance bottlenecks
  • Build and design frontends for a variety of personas and use cases, both customer-facing and internal.
  • Work with a cross-functional team of developers, data scientists, UX/UI designers, sales, and support analysts daily.
  • Technical leadership skills for managing a track of work and defining a comprehensive solution, leading
  • Ability to translate high technical solutions/problems to audiences at varying technical levels
  • Experience working with Jira, Gitlab, Grafana, and Splunk
  • The candidate must be located within the commuting distance of the nearest office locations.
Educational Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education.
The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
