Infosys is seeking a highly experienced and visionary GCP Cloud Migration Architect to lead our strategic initiatives in migrating critical workloads and applications from AWS and Azure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud architecture across multiple public cloud providers, with a strong focus on GCP services, migration methodologies, and optimization strategies. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills to guide our teams and stakeholders through complex cloud transformation journeys. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.

Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Atlanta, GA OR be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.
Bachelor's degree foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 10 years of Information Technology experience
8 years of experience in Google Cloud Architecture

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5+ years in a senior Cloud Architecture role, specifically with a strong focus on GCP.
  • Proven, hands-on experience leading and executing complex cloud migration projects from AWS and/or Azure to GCP.
  • Deep expertise in a wide range of GCP services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Pub/Sub, VPC, IAM, Cloud Security Command Center, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of AWS and Azure core services and their equivalents in GCP.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, VPN, Load Balancing, network security).
  • Experience with database migration strategies (relational, NoSQL) to GCP.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, compliance frameworks, and identity and access management (IAM) in cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team, managing multiple priorities.
  • Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect
Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead the assessment, planning, design, and execution of large-scale cloud migration projects from AWS and Azure to GCP.
    • Develop comprehensive migration strategies, including re-hosting, re-platforming, refactoring, re-architecting, and replacing, ensuring minimal downtime and business disruption.
    • Design and implement scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-effective cloud-native solutions on GCP.
    • Architect and optimize GCP infrastructure, including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Networking (VPC, VPN, Load Balancing), and IAM.
    • Ensure designs adhere to industry best practices, security standards, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, financial services regulations).
    • Leverage in-depth knowledge of AWS and Azure services and architectures to facilitate seamless transitions and optimize workloads on GCP.
    • Experience with hybrid cloud solutions and connectivity.
    • Act as a subject matter expert for GCP architecture, migration best practices, and multi-cloud strategies.
    • Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or Ansible for automated deployments.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
    • Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize GCP resource utilization, performance, and costs using tools like Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Billing.
    • Stay abreast of the latest trends, services, and best practices in GCP, AWS, Azure, and cloud migration technologies.
Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance our cloud capabilities and migration processes.
