Short Description: Peoplesoft Technical Architect
Location: Melbourne, VIC, AU
Salary: AUD 150,742- 171,215 ( Annual Gross)
Please Note:- The above salary range is only indicative and maybe subject to suitable enhancements, based on internal company processes.
Job Summary:
The PeopleSoft Technical Architect will lead the design, development, and integration of scalable PeopleSoft HCM/CRM solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards. This role demands deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaboration across teams to deliver robust, future-ready systems.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end technical architecture of PeopleSoft HCM/CRM solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategy.
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions using PeopleTools 8.56+ and related technologies.
- Evaluate and recommend architectural improvements, modernization strategies, and integration approaches.
- Architect and oversee integrations using Application Messaging, XML, HTML, JavaScript, and other middleware technologies.
- Lead efforts in building and maintaining custom modules, pages, and components tailored to business needs.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams on PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Packages, and other PeopleSoft components.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, development methodologies, and best practices across the PeopleSoft landscape.
ESSENTIAL
- Good knowledge of technology landscape to be able to guide team.
- Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.
- Total IT and Peoplesoft Technical experience of 10+ years
- PeopleSoft Technical Consultant with IT experience in Design, Development, Implementation or Maintenance/Production Support of PeopleSoft Application (v8.8 or higher) - HCM/CRM modules
- Worked with People Tools version 8.56 and higher
- Strong experience in PeopleSoft Development - People code, Application Engine, Build of Custom pages, Components, HTML, XML, JavaScript, Application Messaging, Application Package etc.
- Experience in writing SQL, PL/SQL Statements
- Adherence to PeopleSoft development standards (including documentation, testing, migration procedures) and implementing best practices
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with end users
- Strong conceptual and problem solving skills, with the ability to derive out of the box solutions to enhance efficiency
- Experience in working on Australian Child Protection modules would be highly desirable
