Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative):

Infosys Public Services is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Management Consultant to join our dynamic and multifunctional team, supporting a federal CIO organization. The ideal candidate will possess excellent management consulting skills, demonstrating the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to develop complex, high-visibility work products. This is a hybrid position requiring one day per week onsite at our client's office near Rockville, MD.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups to accurately determine data, reporting, and analytical needs.
  • Design and implement effective data management collection techniques to elicit required data from key stakeholders.
  • Analyze collected data thoroughly to identify pain points, underlying issues, and develop actionable recommendations for resolution.
  • Utilize a variety of data analysis and organizational tools to discover, evaluate, and prioritize the most impactful recommendations for client initiatives.
  • Actively participate in strategic planning meetings, offering insightful suggestions on overall direction, priorities, and long-term goals.
  • Perform rigorous data validation and implement robust quality control measures to ensure the continued success and integrity of programs.
  • Analyze current business processes comprehensively and make recommendations for improvement based on industry best practices, emerging trends, and professional business knowledge.
  • Devise and document repeatable processes for collecting and maintaining data in a structured format to ensure data is periodically refreshed and consistently accurate.
  • Provide comprehensive support for ad hoc data calls, from devising an effective response strategy through to successful execution and delivery.

  • 9 years of experience working with the Federal government.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Management Consultant, specifically using methods to collect, organize, and report data to key stakeholders.
  • 6+ years of technical writing experience, at minimum, producing documents for multiple audiences, including Government C-level executives.
  • Demonstrated experience with strategic frameworks and data collection methods such as Capital Planning Investment Control (CPIC), Enterprise Architecture, or another related discipline.
  • Direct experience developing engaging presentations and work products using Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong self-starter mentality, requiring minimal supervision to achieve objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of tackling complex challenges.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Knowledge of the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK).
  • Experience with Business Process Modeling.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard data collection and reporting tools.
  • Willingness to continuously learn new data collection techniques, frameworks, and methodologies.
Educational Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education.

The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
